Infinite Ruler

Privacy Policy

Last updated: 7 August 2026

Infinite Ruler works without an account. Your measurements and calibration settings stay on your device. Optional product analytics are off until you choose to enable them.

Data stored on your device

Your unit, fractional precision and calibration settings are stored locally on your device. Ruler-edge selection, marker visibility, movable-zero position and A–B marker positions are used only while the app is running. Infinite Ruler does not upload measurements, marker positions or calibration values.

Optional product analytics

If you enable analytics in the app, Infinite Ruler uses PostHog’s European service to collect a limited set of product-interaction events. These include opening the app, completing a first-use milestone and using named features such as paging, calibration, ruler-edge selection, fractional precision, movable zero and A–B markers.

Analytics events include a randomly generated installation identifier and may include app version, build number, distribution environment, platform, device model, operating-system version, locale, time zone, screen dimensions and network connection type. The identifier allows events from the same installation to be associated across sessions, but it is not connected to an Infinite Ruler account because the app has no accounts. The PostHog project anonymizes network addresses.

We do not send your measurements, marker positions, calibration values, screen contents, element contents, name, email address or other account information to PostHog. Infinite Ruler does not create an account or call PostHog’s user-identification feature. Session replay, screen capture, automatic element capture, person profiles and automatic crash capture are disabled.

Analytics is used only to measure and improve Infinite Ruler. It is not used for advertising, cross-app tracking or sale to data brokers.

Your analytics choice

You can enable or disable analytics at any time in Infinite Ruler’s Settings. Disabling it stops future analytics collection. You may ask us to delete analytics associated with your installation identifier; we may need information from your device to locate the relevant records.

Support

If you email support, we receive the information you choose to include, such as your email address, message and optional diagnostic details. We use it only to respond and investigate the issue.

Sharing and retention

We do not sell personal information. Optional analytics data is processed by PostHog in the European Union. Analytics and support information is retained only as long as reasonably necessary for product improvement, support, security and legal obligations.

Your rights

You may ask about, correct or request deletion of information associated with an analytics installation identifier or support request. Deleting Infinite Ruler removes its locally stored app data from your device.
