Helpful details to include

• Your Bread Engineer version and build number
• Your iPhone model and iOS version
• The recipe step you were using
• What you expected to happen and what happened instead
• A screenshot, if it helps explain the problem

Common fixes

An alarm or notification did not appear

Open iOS Settings and confirm that Bread Engineer is allowed to show notifications and alarms. In Bread Engineer Settings, check that the alert types you want are enabled.

A timer is no longer visible

Open the active recipe and its current step. If a timer was interrupted by a device restart or permission change, start that step’s timer again.

A photo cannot be added

Check Bread Engineer’s Photos permission in iOS Settings, confirm there is free storage on the device, and try selecting the image again.

The fermentation estimate looks wrong

Check the dough and room conditions entered for the recipe. Fermentation timing is an equation-based estimate: flour, yeast percentage, dough temperature, room temperature and technique can all affect the actual dough.
